Miscellaneous
Khed’a has balance issues due to a tail injury from childhood. His tail is much shorter than usual for a Miqo'te. Anyone looking closely at his tail can tell that it was injured in the past.
When he experiences the echo, Khed'a may also get a migraine. Intense expressions of the echo can cause him to lose balance or consciousness for a brief period of time.
He always uses the staff for his conjury because he likes to use it as a walking stick to help with his balance issues.
He was mute for a time when he first began living among the padjal. When he did start talking, he had a stutter that persisted into his adolescence. Sometimes his stutter returns when he is feeling overwhelmed or deeply anxious.
Voidsent actively seek them out due to their uniquely rich aetheric profile. He has to take extra steps to manage it in the presence of voidsent so that he can evade detection.
He began identifying as a man when he first transitioned and then eventually realized he was nonbinary & genderfluid. His transition journey featured a lot of moments of changing what he needed to best suit his gender identity. After a lot of reflection, he came to a confident understanding of himself and his gender.
Tea is his favorite drink. He used to share a pot of tea with his mother, Ari-A, every day. Whenever he shares tea with another person, it's a sign of deep trust and affection.
They have issues with objectification/being treated as a tool or object. (The FFXIV main story constantly brings this up :’)
When he travels to a new place, he has to take time walking around the area to familiarize himself with it.
He is very routine-oriented. He has trouble with spontaneous interruptions in his routine.
He keeps a journal of the local flora and fauna of the places he's traveled to as part of his survey work. He bird watches unironically.
They feel the urge to pace when they have a problem on their mind. Taking walks is something that is also meditative for them.
They struggle with sleeping regularly and suffer from insomnia. They make up for the lack of sleep by taking naps throughout the day when possible. Khed'a can nap almost anywhere, though his preferred spot is beneath a tree.
